While we were there,


These conctrete stairs, which were recently put in by IberroStar, to access the beach, were washed out. The next day workers broke up all the concrete and debris and used it to try to stabilize the beach. The buildings in the background used to be WAY back from the water. Not anymore....Click to enlarge and note large white 'bladder' in background. There are hundreds of these trailer-sized bags on the beach. An underwater pump is placed offshore, and sand is pumped to fill it up. Seems to be helping, but sure is ugly on the beach.
