A couple of events,

really jumped out at me, as I read, 'Friday Night Lights'. (Those of you who know me, realize I can't stand GW Bush, and this book just confirmed all my suspicions, and reinforced them) Actually, more than that, but the first was how the First Nat'l Bank of Midland, went belly up, in the largest bank disaster of it's kind, in the US, up to that time. One of the main players? George H W Bush, who later took down the entire Savings and Loan industry in the United States, as he and his buddies, including his son Neil, (who personally looted Silverado Savings and Loan, in Denver, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars), made a killing, and decided it could be done on a much larger scale, if they only changed a few rules. Was a LOT of money at the time, until W made it look like chump change, as he wrecked our whole economy. One thing you gotta admit, the Bush boys didn't play for small stakes. They f****d us, BIG time. Another, amazing look into the future, came from the author, when he wrote, in 1988, as the Texas oil economy crashed, after the Saudis had pumped up the price of oil to all time highs. The locals, though, looked to the future, after it crashed, and said, 'It could happen again, we're just one Middle East war away from another boom.' No shit! A direct quote from the book, before W took office. G W Bush from Midland,Texas, with all his father's connections and big oil money, from Texas. Along with Dick Cheney, the Halliburton guy, who just happened to start a war in the oil basket of the world, totally based on lies, and started the biggest oil boom in history for his family, buddies and contributors. SURPRISE!. Oil prices went off the charts, as it wrecked the US economy. Thank you George. This was written 12 years before it happened. Look it up. Page 215 of 'Friday Night Lights'. If you ever doubted the entire premise of the Iraq War, you should be FORCED to read this book, written 12 years before the immoral war started by W and friends, that enriched them, obscenely, at the cost of lives, injuries, wrecked lives, world opinion and our entire economy, so the Texas oil barons, and the Bush/Cheney buddies, (including the huge defense contractors), could profit. Look it up in the Pulitzer Prize winning novel about greed in west Texas. 'Friday Night Lights'. It'll open your eyes to reality. By the way, this isn't conjecture or opinion. It is well documented FACT!
