Last paragraph from the local paper, concerning the election

Nice and concise.
If she were facing a credible Republican, there would be more subtle comparisons to consider and we would probably take longer to do it. But the reality is that this is the easiest choice in our lifetimes — a smart, dedicated, experienced, flawed woman against a pathological liar, an egomaniac who either doesn't know what the truth is or doesn't care. Even including the two minor-party candidates, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, we see only one candidate qualified for the job.
We endorse Hillary Clinton. It is not a close call.

Earlier in the article we had this, after a long list of his lies.

We could go on, but what's the point? Anyone following the presidential campaign even casually knows we have never seen one like it. Trump is almost certainly the least knowledgeable, least serious major-party candidate for president in U.S. history. He believes many things that are demonstrably untrue. His campaign has brought into the light, like cockroaches from beneath society's baseboards, some of the kookiest, scariest fringe groups in American politics. For the first time in half a century, avowed white supremacists have been invited into the mainstream of a major party.
And the Republicans love him. What does this say about them?
