On the surface,
some of Trump's policies make sense, BUT, when you look deeper....
I kinda like the idea of oil pipelines, instead of surface transportation, BUT, the Keystone pipeline takes Canadian oil (from shale, the DIRTIEST oil anywhere, YUUUGE pollution), and takes it all across the US, adding it to a YUUUGE worldwide oil glut, with the chance of leaks, all along the way. It adds a few temp jobs, and 50 permanent jobs, while crossing a YUUUGE number of water sources. WHY?
And, Trump is starting a global trade war, which NEVER turns out well. Isolationism NEVER works, cuz the other countries make laws to protect themselves, and recessions and WARS always follow.

BUT, it sounds good, as an ignorant jerk promises to bring back coal mining and other jobs lost as the world advanced beyond polluting, expensive coal, when natural gas replaced it, BUT, the yokels swallow the promises.
