Visited Kari today,

who's home from the hospital, and could understand why she's had a residual headache. I thought they had just replaced the valve, in her head, BUT, saw that Dr Winston replaced all the hardware and plumbing while she was 'under the knife'. I didn't realize, and neither did she, that she had a huge 'S-shaped' scar that allowed him to access everything. Hopefully, we don't have to worry about 'clogs' for a long time, BUT, I can see why she's kinda hurtin', for a while.  Some day we'll look back on this and appreciate Kari and Dr WInson as pioneers in this type of surgery. In the meantime, we're just thankful.
