I used to think

that melanoma was just another word for skin cancer, but have found out recently, that melanoma is much more rare, and nasty.

  • An estimated 76,100 new cases of invasive melanoma will be diagnosed in the US in 2014.
  • An estimated 9,710 people will die of melanoma in 2014.
  • Melanoma accounts for less than two percent of skin cancer cases, but the vast majority of skin cancer deaths.

    • Bottom line, have been way too reckless, getting way too much sun, over MANY years.

    Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

    where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

    Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap. They keep forgetting we're not all a bunch of FOXNews sheep, who'll swallow whatever swill is shoveled to them.
