How Trump took over America’s 250th

America250 organizers have received only a fraction of the appropriated funds to celebrate America's milestone as Trump appropriated the money for his own vanity projects.

America turns 250 on Saturday. But the celebration Americans will see isn’t quite the one organizers spent the last decade planning.

For nearly 10 years, the bipartisan, congressionally chartered America250 envisioned a once-in-a-generation civic commemoration built around history, service and local communities. Trump saw it as a celebration of himself.

Of the $150 million Congress appropriated for America’s 250th festivities, organizers expected to receive roughly $100 million but have received just $25 million to date, with Trump keeping the rest for his own purposes.

The Smithsonian Institution had spent years planning a monthlong Folklife Festival on the National Mall — an ambitious gathering that would have brought together traditions like Burning Man and Farm Aid alongside local and regional festivals from across the U.S. and its territories, but Trump overruled it for his ‘State Fair’, which could attract no meaningful musicians and is described as a ‘big, sleepy bore’, but that doesn’t stop FOX from lauding it as ‘filled with happy people’, with shots of the empty mall behind them.

Trump’s personal touch was the ‘biggest ever’ fireworks show, with over 850,000 shells. The 40-minute show will stretch more than a mile across Washington, launching simultaneously from eight barges on the Potomac River, West Potomac Park and firing sites running the length of the Reflecting Pool.

WTF? 

850,000 shells and over 40 minutes, (at what cost?)so he could claim ‘Bigliest’? Same old shit from the jackass.

Could go on and on…but WHY?

Either you see the LYING, morally bankrupt, arrogant, greedy, incompetent wannabe dictator that he is…or you swallow the view from Bullshit Mountain.
