  Backing Away From The Abyss Hungarians resoundingly rejected a would-be autocrat and got another lease on life for their democracy. Can we? He gerrymandered the voting districts to ensure his continued rule, all in the name of saving the country and its heritage from liberal outsiders — and in the process became a model for an aspiring autocrat 4,500 miles to the west.
