Quick update on Kari

Headed back to the hospital this morning for an 11:00 surgery to put a new valve in the shunt system in her head. Seems the old one is faulty, and has been draining way too much cerebral-spinal fliud into her abdomen. They have wasted days/weeks/months, trying everything else, while Kari has been incapacitated with a 'bad valve'. Headaches so bad she's throwing up this morning, but she seems in a much better mood, because finally they seem to be getting to the real problem. Let's hope they get it right this time.

Let us hope you have been led to the right place and professionals this time. Don't allow yourselves to be told what you can and cannot have. You are still in charge of your body.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
