A breath of fresh air,


on the political scene was a pleasant surprise this morning, as I surfed the channels. Came across "Meet the Press", where Colin Powell was being interviewed by David Gregory. What a change! A respectful, relevant interviewer and an intelligent, well-informed, experienced diplomat who just happens to a retired military Republican. Why can't we get someone like him to vote for, instead of the polarizing whack jobs who grab all the headlines?

This gentleman, Colin Powell, stood up to the warmongers at a time when it was political suicide to do so. He walked away with pride and I, for one, applaude him for doing so. He said the administration was wrong in their assessment of intelligence gathering in Iraq; we were wrong for why we were in Iraq, and he had be lied to be the Bush administration.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap. They keep forgetting we're not all a bunch of FOXNews sheep, who'll swallow whatever swill is shoveled to them.
