  Re:  “Casting my vote for policy,” Jan. 27 letter to the editor I believe the letter writer’s comments that his reason for voting for Trump was based on policies he supports, and he was willing to overlook many character flaws that would otherwise be disqualifying. I also believe there are many potential Republican candidates who are intelligent, honest, ethical, and brave who support and endorse these very same policies — candidates who do not lie nonstop (from small lies about crowd size to big lies about election fraud) and incite unstable mobs to storm the Capitol in an effort to destroy our republic. I sincerely hope that he finds and supports such a candidate because now we know that any vote for Trump is a vote against democracy.

 It’s an eight episode series that begins in Lynnwood, Washington, and then moves to Golden, Colorado, and if I hadn’t read the reviews, (some of the highest, best reviews ever) I’m not sure if I would have watched the second episode. It starts a little strange/slow, but don’t worry, when it moves to Colorado, the entire look and feel changes and by the third episode you’re hooked. It stars the badass woman from the frontier town in ‘Godless’ and Tony Colett, who has never been better, as a couple of detectives in Westminster, CO. I didn’t realize it was a true story until near the end, when I realized this has to be true. It claims to take place in Golden and Westminster, but doesn’t really, although they try pretty hard to make it look like Colorado. The performances are amazing and I really cared about characters. An amazing true story, really well done, by Netflix.
