 Fox News calls for federal takeover of California

 

No, this is not a headline from the Onion.  I’m sitting here suffering through my one hour of nightly exposure to Fox prime time “news” – and the host (a guy named Jesse Watters) just called for the federal government (aka the Trump Tribe) to “take over” the total governance of the entire State of California – ostensibly because the “total mismanagement of the fire crisis” in LA has “proven” that California is incapable of self-governance.

 

Jesse Watters didn’t just make this up.  Neither did the suits at Fox.  This is a trial balloon being floated from within the Trump Mob – using Fox to launch this balloon.  I’d guess that Stephen Miller (and perhaps Musk too) is behind this stunt.  This is a “pre-emptive strike” against Gov. Gavin Newsom (whom Trump derides as “Newscum” every chance he gets).  It may not come to fruition (unless SCOTUS blesses it in total defiance of the Constitution) – but it’s definitely a “shot across the bow”.
