My golf buddy,

John Reilly, was upset, a couple of weeks ago, because his sister, Patty, was invited to the Hollywood premiere of 'Leatherheads', (a movie whose script was written by their brother Rick, and bought, produced, directed and starred in, by George Clooney), and John wasn't (invited). SOOO, John decided to have his own premiere party, when "Leatherheads" opened here. Reserved a room at Gordon Biersch, got some movie posters, arranged drink and food specials, and had a party, with Rick wearing a leather helmet, for the opening. Rick was funny, his girlfriend really hot, and the get-together fun. I would love to say the movie was good, and it COULD have been, if they would have stayed with the original story (birth of the NFL in the 1920's), and a love story between Clooney and Rene Zelweiger, BUT, they went with a sideline, where a returning soldier (Jim, from 'The Office"), is caught in a lie about his military record. WHY?? Not sure who made the changes, but Rick, who had a cameo in the film, said it was only about half his original story line, and once they paid him, he had no control over it. Whatever, was a fun evening, and about as close as I'll ever get to the red carpet.

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
