Another RCM,

(that's rocking chair memory), of my neighbor and friend, Vern Rapp, who was a player, and coach, of the St Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds, (when Pete Rose was there). Vern grew up in the same St Louis neighborhood as Yogi Berra, and they have been lifelong friends, as they have both been catchers and coaches in MLB. Anyway, Vern built a new house a few blocks north, and I haven't seen him for awhile, but we used to fish his property on the Poudre River above Ft Collins. Nearly all his fingers were crooked from being broken so many times, and he'd tell some great stories. Whatever, was just watching the Rockies open against the Cards, and thought about Vern. A pretty cool old guy, who was my next door neighbor and buddy for quite awhile...
