Well, knock me over

with a feather... It seems those retired military men, always trotted out by Fox News, weren't so neutral after all. According to today's New York TImes

Most of the analysts have ties to military contractors vested in the very war policies they are asked to assess on air.
Those business relationships were never disclosed to the viewers, or to the networks themselves. But collectively, the military analysts represented more than 150 military contractors either as lobbyists, senior executives, board members or consultants. The companies include defense heavyweights, but also scores of smaller companies, all part of a vast assemblage of contractors scrambling for hundreds of billions in military business generated by the administration’s war on terror. Say the right thing, (agree with the Bushies), and get more and bigger contracts. Disagree, and get cut out of the loop. EXACTLY, the same strategy they used with "Faith Based Iniatives", where hundreds of millions of dollars are handed out to preachers who preach in favor of Bush's War in Iraq. Wrong sermon, NO $$$. Also works with Fox News viewers. Sad, but true. Gotta love Karl Rove.

WOW, I am SO shocked! Retired military men, whose new careers are 'selling to the military', giving us false information, to receive more contracts. Who woulda guessed???
My favorite quote--
“It was them saying, ‘We need to stick our hands up your back and move your mouth for you,’ ” Robert S. Bevelacqua, a retired Green Beret and former Fox News analyst, said.
What's really sad, is that some people actually believe the crap that the Bush administration shovels out...

FYI...The US govt. is paying 300.00 a month per person for each Sunni in Iraq not to fight the Americans. That is 90,000 Sunnis! I believe we call that bribery.
Three U.S. Congresspersons wish now for Iraq to begin paying part of the tab for the destruction, reconstruction, and gas for our vehicles in Iraq. The gas alone is 153 million dollars a month. As Colin Powell so plainly stated as Secretary of State 5 years ago, "you break it, you pay for it."
