If you read here, you know I bitch a LOT about the Oglala aquifer being drained, to grow corn for ethanol, that takes more energy to create than it produces.

 Mainly, it’s just busywork for Midwest farmers to keep them in the political fold, begun by GWBush to get support for his bullshit war in Iraq.

Now, we learn that the unreplaceable, largest freshwater aquifer in the world is down 30%, on average, with western Kansas, home to ‘corn for ethanol’, down 60% . SIXTY PERCENT!

For a short term political gain the main freshwater source for America’s future food is being WASTED.

But, if I gotta explain, you wouldn’t understand, like so much in the world of POLITICS, where today’s vote is all that matters.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW.
