 Seems his base is shrinking.

Americans have been disaffiliating from organized religion over the past few decades. About 63% of Americans identify as Christian, according to the Pew Research Center, down from 90% in the early 1990s.

Meanwhile, the share of those who describe themselves as agnostic, atheist, or “nothing in particular” has risen to 28%. 

These numbers are heavily skewed by the Deep South, where education/income is lowest and church membership is highest.

Wow, I’m SHOCKED.
