Wow, remember when the book, ‘1984’, and Big Bother was just crazy science fiction? Well, ask Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel what they think about that, now that that they have been disappeared, for doing political humor.

Yes, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, ABC announced that "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" has been "preempted indefinitely."

The decision came after Kimmel made comments about the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The network's move followed an announcement from Republican owned Nexstar Media, which owns and operates a large number of ABC affiliate stations, that it would also preempt the show on its channels due to Kimmel's remarks.

The specific comment from Kimmel that drew criticism was a statement from his Monday, September 15 monologue where he said,

"We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."

It is unclear if or when the show will return.

UN F’ing believeable, but SO Trumpian, as we goose step down the road to the dictatorship that Dotard dreams of….
