  • Purpose: The review was initiated under pressure from the Trump administration, primarily by Attorney General Pam Bondi, to facilitate the public release of the documents. There were reports that agents were specifically instructed to flag and remove any mention of Donald Trump and other high-profile individuals in the files, which drew criticism from some Senate Democrats.
