"I want to underscore the tremendous risk that this administration and congressional Republicans have put the American people in right now," Crow said at a press conference. 

Crow said the terrorist risk against Americans in the U.S. and abroad has "just shot through the roof," and faulted the Trump administration for shifting FBI and homeland security agents toward immigration enforcement instead of counter-terrorism investigations.

In an interview, Crow told HuffPost his description of the threat comes from intelligence briefs he's received, but he didn't offer details. He's a member of the House Intelligence and Armed Services Committees.
