Can you even begin to imagine what a yuuuge windfall this is for Big Oil…and how much it’s gonna cost us, the consumers?

The U.S. Department of Transportation said in a Sept. 28 press releasethat it is moving to lower the required fleetwide average fuel economy for cars from a current requirement of more than 50 miles-per-gallon by 2031 to just under 35 miles-per-gallon.

An internal analysis from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) indicates that drivers could spend an additional $1,624 on gas over the lifetime of a new car under the Trump administration's proposed fuel economy rollbacks. 

Multiple this by the tens of millions of new cars…and you can understand WHY Big Oil loves their boy….who’s also killed wind and solar for the greedy bastards….

Not to mention his disastrous WAR!

Saw a good movie yesterday,

that really showed how fast time flies. Argo is about the hostage crisis in Iran, 33 years ago, and has a bit of history at the the beginning, that most of us have forgotten, as in WHY the Iranian people were SO pissed off at Americans. In 1953, the popularly elected president of Iran was replaced by the Shah of Iran, in a coup directed and financed by the CIA and the US, to protect America's Big Oil interests, much the same way Saddam Hussein was installed in Iraq. The shah, like Hussein, was a despot who tyrannized the people and looted the treasury. When he was overthrown, in a populist revolution, he fled to the US, but the Iranians wanted to put him on trial. Hence, the Iranian mobs took out their anger on the US embassy and it's workers. Am really conflicted,

with the 'scandals' in Wahington. First of all Benghazi is not a scandal, no matter how hard the Pubs try to make it into one. BUT, the IRS and AP affairs have some merit, although the Tea Party (created and supported by the Koch bros) and FOX News are just arms of the Repub Party, whose sole intent is to take down Obama and the Dems, by any and all means. That is a given. SO, should the Dems just roll over when they are constantly under attack? No, BUT, they need to fight legally, and using the IRS and stifling a free press isn't right either. Not NEARLY as egregious as the last admin's behavior, but wrong, none the less.
