Like many others, including market traders, I thought the Blue Tsunami would bring about some significant changes in Boss Hogg’s disastrous policies, but, alas, we’re learning that probably ain’t gonna happen, and any significant changes won’t be until Dotard’s Repub clown puppets are replaced, after the first of the year.
“I don’t expect any change in economic policy. The Iran war, the tariffs and trade policy, the heavy-handed immigration policy, all are done under executive order. They’re not legislatively driven,” Zandi said.
“The president thought they were good policies before the election. I don’t know why he’d change his mind after the election,” Zandi added. “So I think they will continue to be policies that restrain growth and add to inflationary pressures and interest rates.”
Seems the markets realized that today, after yesterday’s initial exuberance, and there’s a broad based selloff, recognizing the clown in the White House retains nearly total power.
