Just heard Peter Jennings say,

that (because of the Bush propaganda machine) right after Bush's attack on Iraq, over 70% of the US population believed Saddam was behind 9-11. MANY poor souls joined the military to avenge this attack. Now, nearly 4 years into Bush's War, over 25%, of the non-thinking population, still believe Saddam and Osama partnered up for 9-11. Don't you people know how to read? Sunni and Shiite don't mix!! What about those poor souls who signed up, with pure patriotic intentions, and now CAN read. Must be tough. Can you imagine, signing up, then finding out the truth, too late, and putting in your time, only to have George extend your tour of duty, by several months, not once, twice, but three or more times??? It is happening all the time. Called the 'Back door draft', done to people with no power to fight it. Watching "Jarhead", at the moment, and just felt a need to post, as I watched these poor guys, stuck out in the desert, fighting George's war....
