There’s a Huge class/culture divide over the coronavirus, and how to deal with it.

The lower income/education class, the Repubs, see the ‘elite’, who haven’t lost their jobs on NEARLY the scale that the low income, less educated Pubs have. Approx ten percent of those making over $100K have lost their jobs, while nearly forty percent of the low income workers, the Pubs, have become unemployed.
And those who are worried about where their next meal is coming from are more upset with the ‘experts’ who said we needed to quarantine.
The lower class points to the death rate and says, ‘that’s not so bad’, not realizing it wasn’t so bad BECAUSE of the quarantines and shutdowns.
Bottom line, you can’t blame people with such a bleak future for being upset, but it’s just widened the chasm between the haves and have nots, the employed and unemployed, the educated and the uneducated, the Dems and the Pubs.
Where some national catastrophes have brought the nation together, this one, with an incompetent, Russian backed, Pathological Liar in charge has just split the nation even further.
