Great explanation, as to why someone won’t perform at The Kennedy Center, after The Pig renamed it.
And Alabama folk singer Kristy Lee canceled a Jan. 14 show at the center over the name change, writing on social media:
“When American history starts getting treated like something you can ban, erase, rename, or rebrand for somebody else’s ego, I can’t stand on that stage and sleep right at night.”
As you know, the totally objective Kennedy Center's board of trustees ‒ made up of a diverse array of people who either love President Trump or SUPER-LOVE him ‒ recently changed the center’s name to the Trump-Kennedy Center and altered the sign on the building’s facade to read “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.” That made sense, as no president has done more for the arts than Trump, primarily by singlehandedly keeping country singer Lee Greenwood employed by having him sing “God Bless the USA” approximately 15,000,000 times over the past decade.
