Tonight we hear how/why he is ignoring the will of the voters, the bi-partisan Iraq Commission, his (former) generals in charge, and the HUGE majority of world opinion, and is ramping up his Iraq debacle. Because HE, King George, knows best. IF he would have studied in college, where he obviously didn't, finishing in the lower 15% of both schools he attended, instead of bopping around in his MG, wearing his cheerleader outfit, picking on less affluent students (quoted verbatim from Yale professor's interview), he would realize why his whole pre-emptive war, based on lies, won't/can't work. Some basic subjects he obviously didn't comprehend were: HISTORY- note religious wars in mid-east and a conflict he avoided in SE asia, that we remember as Viet Nam. GEOGRAPHY- Look at the map. It's on the other side of the world, and surrounded by people he's pissed off. POLITICAL SCIENCE- This is supposed to be a democracy, where the will of the people rules. We are over 2-1 AGAINST this war, and would be much higher if people actually paid attention to truth vs spin. MATHEMATICS- 130,00 soldiers, or 150,000, can't control a city of 10 million, let alone a country larger than California where 2 sects have hated each other, and fought nearly continuously for generations. READING-Read newspapers throughout the world, where most people consider W a much larger threat to world peace than Saddam ever was. Also, check out the run up to this war where all info contradicting his "go to war NOW" philosophy was crushed and all questionable evidence of nuclear capability if Iraq was presented as truth. ECONOMICS- Just because his advisors, the oil people who put him in power, all standing to make fortunes, and they have, at a HUGE expense to the rest of us, (check out Exon-Mobil, Chevron, etc., who have made ALL-TIME record profits in the history of the business world), (you think that was a coincidence???) wanted war, doesn't mean it was the right thing to do. Oh, and the main thing LOGIC- Which says you after a tragedy like 9-11, you retaliate against the people who attacked you. which happened to be 3 Afgans and 16 Saudi Arabians. Note, there were zero Iraquis. Iraq had NOTHING to do with it. Bush and Cheney finally admit it, since they have been forced to. Can't wait to read about King George's speech. I just know I can't stand to watch the SOB, so that's the only way I'll hear about it. Hopefully the Dems, who now have the legislature, because the American people spoke with the vote, can control this "embarassment to the people" before he kills and maims thousands more.
