Mid-Eastern hero, released early

On Dec. 14, al-Zeidi fired one of his shoes at Bush during his final press conference in Baghdad, shouting in Arabic, "This is your farewell kiss, you dog!" Then he threw the other one with the words, "This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq!"

Now, upon his early release from prison, he has been offered a 4 BR house, a new Mercedes, $10 million for his shoes, a gold saddled horse, statues have been erected to him and his shoes, and grateful fathers have offered their daughters in marriage.
All this from people who would, in the words of that loveable Dick Cheney, "greet us with hugs and flowers' for 'liberating' them.
Thanks Bush, and your Repub henchmen, for making us so popular in the oil basket of the world.

My only wish is that he had clobbered Georgie right in the kisser! No doubt he'd have been shot on the spot, but it would have done this old heart good to see Dubya "shoed".
