Had a fantastic weekend,

that started out at the Lohi Steak Bar, in lower downtown, where we met w/the kids to celebrate Nate and Laura's birthdays during 'Denver Restaurant Week' festivities. One of the highlights, for me, had to be Kari's slinky new dress with the high heels that let her look me directly in the eyes. Pretty hot chick. Sunday morning was Old Farts Brunch, with the crew meeting at 'Ralphies', formerly Bart's, in Louisville, where,  their fantastic brunch menu includes a 'build it yourself' Bloody Mary station. Hmmmm. Then, we finished up here, where Carol outdoes herself each year with her Oscar Party. Piper charmed us all, as always, and we did our Oscar games with one difference, this year. I won. Ka-ching. All in all a fantastic weekend that I'm documenting here so I can look back and enjoy, from my rocking chair. Thanks everyone, for giving this ol' guy a lotta good memories this weekend.

It was a very fun celebratory weekend! Always a good time when we get together with the kiddos & their spouses. And congrats Fam Guy for the awards contest & to Nate on the trivia (now we know Ted & Kari can be beat!)

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap. They keep forgetting we're not all a bunch of FOXNews sheep, who'll swallow whatever swill is shoveled to them.
