Had a great Sat night,

as we celebrated Nate's (could it really be?) 37th b-day. Rode up the canyon, that had gotten approx 4 ft of fluffy new snow, with Ted and Kari, and, after seeing a large herd of big bucks standing in snow past their bellies, arrived at the same time as Nate and Piper returned from an Avalanche hockey game. Laura fixed a delicious dinner (including memorable lemon pie soup) and a wonderful time was had by all. Caught up on the latest 'Flight Sim Business' news and planned more get-togethers on the beach in Mexico, at the 'American Idiot' show and Denver Restaurant Week, before Grampa read Piper her bedtime story. I even got to take home a 'growler' of Nate's home brew for the Super Bowl today. As I continue to say, 'Life is Good'.
PS. Yesterday, Gibby (Bailey's big black kitty friend) braved nearly 2 ft of snow to visit us, and enjoy some 'catnip and wet food', as well as our company. Gibby's a character, from 2 blocks away, who loves to play, get a 'kitty buzz', and eat Bailey's food.
