Today's the day,

the US officially hit the debt ceiling. The various agencies can wiggle and squirm for a while, but there's gonna have to be some compromising in the next couple of months to keep the checks flowing. The same Repubs who took a healthy surplus in 2000 and ran our economy into the ground, and failed to repeal the 'temporary' Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, now say any tax increases are 'off the table'. Should be interesting to see what kind of real ideas these hypocrites have. Same as always, I bet, just a bunch of hot air, with no real solutions. If they can't even remove subsidies to the oil companies, and to farmers who waste valuable cropland growing corn for ethanol, that takes more energy to create than it produces, what chance do we have?

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap. They keep forgetting we're not all a bunch of FOXNews sheep, who'll swallow whatever swill is shoveled to them.
