Just got back,

from the Boulder Creek Festival, with nearly a thousand vendors, the day before the "Bolder Boulder', the largest citizens run in the country. Yup, with 54,000 runners last year, (something a southern couch potato couldn't relate to) bigger than the Boston Marathon. Amazing place to 'people watch', as nearly a half million people wander along Boulder Creek, over 3 days, with booths of arts, crafts, commercial ventures, food and drink. I enjoyed it even more, thinking of the right wing rube, who would be 'shocked' by the young people expressing themselves with occasional tattoos, and showing some skin, AND, there was live rock music, which he says caused the collapse of western civilization. Laughable/pathetic, when you think of those stuck in their little 'pockets of poverty' whose life, like chastity, (that old 60's poster) is it's own punishment, as they feel the need to pass judgement on others, in this world they can't understand, or compete in. They rail against the fact the world has moved beyond their simple minds, as they struggle to support themselves, in their self-righteous, hypocritical, little world. They know of whom I speak. Don't know whether to laugh, or feel pity, so I'll do both. (FYI, this is in response to a certain hillbilly columnist I am in occasional contact with, and no one else)
