After Hurricane Katrina,

I lived, and did claims, out in the boonies, near Houma, Louisisana. We then got hit by Rita, while I was there. Got to know a bunch of good people while I lived there for several months, many of them 'genuine' Cajuns. Since then, they've been hit with another hurricane, the BP oil spill, and now, the intentional flooding of the Atchaflaya River basin, to take the pressure off downstream Mississippi RIver towns. These are tough people, but hey, enough already. Can't imagine what it's like down there, as this latest, slow motion tragedy unfolds. Seems like they just recover from disaster and BOOM, here comes another. May have to head down there, later this year, to see how they're doing, and help out a bit.
