Gustav has a pretty good chance of becoming at least a category 3 hurricane, and hitting somewhere along the Gulf Coast. I feel sorry for whatever area takes a direct hit, cause I know the kind of damage it can do. Sure hope it doesn't hit New Orleans. Perfect timing, as per usual, since we have a Paris trip planned and paid for...

Brian has been following it and it looks like it's on the same Katrina track..maybe a Cat. 3 by the time it reaches La. by Monday. The Gulf will tell the story. We'll see how true the ACE has been telling us about the levies. Are they any stronger? Will they protect the 9th ward? You can always trust the Army!!

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...
