The US Census Bureau

today, released figures for the poorest states in the country.

Surprise. With the exception of Montana, the center of poverty is the center of the Repub base in the South. Poor education=low income, in the middle of the Bible belt. No surprise, cuz it's always the same. The bad news? The votes from these junior high dropouts count the same as mine. Just doesn't seem right, as the Repubs use this base to further their 'no-science' agenda.

Not my relatives, as in intermarryin' which sorta explains how marryin' your cousin ain't that good, but helps make the base of the Repub party. Hey, you can either go to school, or enjoy yo kinfolk.

or enjoy your kinfolk in school. The Pubs are Yaleies or Harvards. There certainly was much intermingling way back when, cousins marrying cousins; oops almost forgot Franklin Roosevelt married his cousin Elenore and became one of the most beloved Democratic presidents of our day. They had 11 intelligent children. Well shucks, guess we have a stale mate. The Roosevelts were from the north, as were most of the wealthy Republicans who married cousins, so maybe your southern standard isn't so correct afterall, son.

Thank you for proving my point, as I read your Southern comment.

It wasn't a "southern comment" that I made, nor was I attacking the south. The wealthy were known for marrying within their ranks, usually within family to keep the title. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, for example are cousins. (Just look at Anne and Charles to see what inbreeding can do).
If you take comfort in your belief that the south is a bunch of toothless, drooling knuckle draggers, best check your genealogy records before shouting from the rooftops, dear.

The Roosevelts had 6 children..5 survived to adulthood. I was incorrect. I guees it's because I was born in Oklahoma and my mother was born in Tennessee. DUH!

I just report on reality and the South is consistently low education/income, which wouldn't bother me cuz I don't live there. BUT, they have a way of banding together, in the form of the Repub party, and putting a dufus like GW in power, to wreck my country. THAT'S whata pisses me off.

Just don't piss and moan, get involved.
