Great idea to deal with the anti-vaxer morons(R). I don’t want to help pay for their stoopidity.

It’s interesting to see the incentives some organizations are using to get people vaccinated: Starbucks coffee, baseball tickets, even a million-dollar raffle.

I would do the opposite. I would stop paying for COVID hospitalizations on July 1. In other words, starting on July 1, if you’re eligible to be vaccinated but refuse and subsequently require hospitalization for the virus, you must pay the hospital charges out of your own pocket.

My reason for that is that the basis of insurance is that everyone in “the group” agrees to abide by the rules of the group then, when accidents happen or mistakes are made, the group as a whole pays to make things right.

Since most medical professionals tells us to get vaccinated, anyone who refuses to be vaccinated is not part of “the group” and is therefore personally responsible for his or her hospital charges.
