Wow, just got word that a classmate just died. I just knew him as a farmer and a good guy. Had no idea about his service record. What a guy.... So sorry, to Trudy, his wife.

 After graduation, Dan served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1971 as a Green Beret paratrooper, where he earned the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Sharpshooter Badge.
