In an effort to force his rightwing religious views on the entire country, Sen Tommy Tuberville, whose only political qualification was being a football coach,

 has effectively shut down the US military.

Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama blocked 184 military promotions Tuesday in the latest chapter of his protest against the Pentagon's abortion policy. 

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin say the promotions are critical to military readiness, and Tuberville is blocking pay raises and preventing key leaders from taking their posts. 

"One senator is jeopardizing America’s national security.”

And you wonder WHY I can’t stand ‘em(R)?

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW.
