Too bad we weren’t in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum this week, instead of last week. Woulda gotten some extra vacation time. And I wondered why police and soldiers were carrying machine guns….

 These are the locations where U.S. citizens and government staff are recommended to shelter in place on Monday and avoid unnecessary movement and areas around law enforcement:

  • Jalisco state (including Puerto Vallarta, Chapala and Guadalajara)
  • Baja California state (including Tijuana, Tecate and Ensenada)
  • Quintana Roo state (including Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen and Tulum)
