The new banner, with Trump’s ugly mug, hanging from the DOJ is a classic Soviet/Maoist/North Korean propaganda blunderbuss blast to make it crystal clear that Dear Leader now completely owns the DOJ. Subtle it is not. And Trump’s brownshirt, paramilitary goons marching across the foreground is a nice touch.
Trump is screaming it out loud. He and Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Russell Vought, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Kristi Noem and Steve Bannon (with Peter Theil, Elon Musk and Leonard Leo lurking in the shadows) are PROUD that they’re openly staging a synergistic Christo-fascist / white supremacist / dystopian cyberpunk-nihilist / centi-billionaire coup against the United States. They WANT people to see this image so that they begin to realize that Big Brother is now fully in charge – and that Resistance is Futile. The DOJ is now the Stasi – and if you don’t believe it, just “FAFO”.
And they’re going to pull this coup off right in front of our eyes - while distracting us with “bread and circuses” hoopla for our star-spanged, patriotic, 250th birthday party this summer. Complete with UFC cage fights on the White House lawn. And maybe a few “kinetic strikes” on Iran or Cuba to provide some additional pyrotechnic distractions.
And a year from now when the DHS budget of $80 billion has turbo-charged the construction of Stephen Miller’s vast gulag of concentration camps to hold a half-million “illegals” – they’ll quickly fill up to capacity with not just “illegals”, but also with all manner of “Enemies of the State”. Remember, a year ago when Trump “joked” in the Oval Office to El Salvador’s dictator Nayib Bukele that he should be prepared to start receiving some U.S. “domestic” troublemakers to toss into his CECOT torture prison?
And have we already forgotten “the Enemy Within” that Trump was always foaming at the mouth about at the climax of all his 2024 campaign rallies? The “vermin” and “scum” and “the Marxists, Communists and Fascists who hate our Country” - who are all hellbent on “destroying America”?
Once again, we’ve seen this movie before. It’s turning into a rerun of the genocidal, authoritarian, nihilistic history of much of the 20th century – from Hitler to Stalin to Tojo to Mao to Pol Pot to Pinochet to Milosevic to Kim. And now that the vast majority of Americans have absolutely no concept of 20th century history (other than a few patriotic, “feel-good” WWII movies like Patton), We the People - enveloped in a thick haze of collective amnesia, social media psychosis and paralyzed in the hypnotic thrall of another demented, demagogic, narcissistic, power-drunk psychopath - are well on our way to doing it all over again.
Except this time, we get to play the Nazis – the fanatical “blood and soil”, ethno-nationalist, “might-makes-right” Übermenschen who are out to conquer and destroy the “decadent West” born of the Enlightenment. Starting with those insufferably effete, socialist, multi-cultural, quiche-eating Euro-weenies.
Just ask Vance or Rubio.
