Here in Broomfield, Colorado, 20 miles from Denver and 7 miles from Boulder, we have the yuuuge Oracle ‘campus’, where high tech companies from around the world have their HQ’s.

Having Rocky Mountain Regional Airport, with the Lears and Gulfstreams flying in and out, makes it convenient for the Big Boys.

Since the onset of the pandemic, (made so much worse than it had to be, by Dingus Con) many Oracle employees, including my son, have worked from home, and will continue to do so, freeing up lots of commercial office space.

Someone has been secretly buying up hundreds of thousands of sq ft of this prime real estate, located minutes from Boulder, in the heart of this high tech area.

This week we found out who the ‘mystery buyer’ actually is.

It’s a small company, led by Tim Cook, called Apple. They have joined Oracle, Google and many others who could HQ anywhere, but have decided that the Front Range, with a clear view of the Rockies, is a great place to recruit and transfer workers.

Good news, bad news, as it will mean more people, BUT, with salaries averaging over $150K, the tax base will only make life better for us all.

Welcome, Mr Cook and Apple.
