Yahoo! With access to the aquifer below us, we won’t have to worry about fluctuating snowmelt from the mountains, where most courses get their irrigation water. The aquifer could be a real long term PLUS, to keep the course GREEN, especially with the city getting on board, with permits and financing.
Water Source Study (Critical Path Item)
ETCDC has engaged HRS Water Consultants to evaluate alternative water solutions—
specifically drilling into the Laramie-Fox Aquifer, where the course has access rights.
Early findings are promising:
One well could produce approximately 60 gallons per minute
Two wells may be sufficient to support full irrigation needs
HRS is currently:
Completing aquifer analysis
Securing cost estimates for drilling and pump installation
Exploring supplemental options through the FRICO ditch system
A full report, including feasibility and cost estimates, is expected in May.
