The Daily Show

had an interesting author/guest yesterday. "One Nation Under Contract', tells how the Bush admin 'contracted' out over half our military's jobs, to private contractors, and paid them tens of billions of dollars, under the table. This is on top of the pallets of hundred dollar bills, shrinkwrapped to the size of (and called) footballs, that were shipped overseas. In just one part of it, there is over $8.2 BILLION in cash that can't be accounted for. And this is on top of the billions of dollars, that went to the 'coalition of the willing'(to be bribed), to nations that would publicly support W's war. Now, as people get all upset about our 'overpaid' teachers let's re-visit where the really BIG money went, in the form of hundreds of billions of 'off the books' payoff money so the Bush/Cheney/Rummy crew could foist another war on us. BTW, without these well paid 'contractors' we may well have had to have a draft, and the people probably would have said, "Hey, wait a minute, do we really need/want this war?' Just a thought...

the best is yet to come, my friend! You're gonna see government like you've never seen it before/a one world government! We're on the road to it now with the uprising in the Middle east and North Africa. Just wait until Rome gets into the act. You ain't seen nothin' yet!!!!!!!!! The Republicans have so many card tricks, it's unbelievable. They are really holding the money key to the vault.

Interesting. That helps to explain W. If he were put here to wreck the world economy, to pave the way for the 'end times', he did a helluva job.

It doesn't make any difference which party is in office. Government is and of itself, evil. Honestly, has any government of any country shared equally with the people? Has any government of any country been honest with any of the citizenry? Has any government of any country been a true and total democracy? There is no truth in government; no morality in government; no consciousness of its duty to the service to the people its serves. That to me smacks evil. All empires have fallen. We are no exception. This country will fall, just look around at the fruitcakes we've elected! They lie, they cheat, they steal, they commit adultry, commit fraud; and these are what we know about. What goes on behind the scenes? We reap what we sow.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
