Here we go again

Although the high mountains have record snow this year, here in the foothills it has been very dry. Normally we have had nearly 60 inches of snow by this time, but this year there's been only 18. SO, today there's so much smoke in the air I can't even see the mountains, 8 miles away, as 3 different forest fires are burning on the front range, with one near Evergreen and another close to Golden, where the kids live. AND, the wind is really kicking up. Could be interesting, and scary.

You could see the fire from our backyard last night, before the smoke became too bad. I got home from work today to a house that smells like a campfire ( guess there are worse smells out there, and could barely see North Table Mtn. which is less than a mile away until the wind sifted. Oh boy!

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
