Maybe one of best football games ever?
Trailing 21-14 late in the fourth quarter and with under two minutes left in the game, the Colorado Buffs were pinned on their two yard line, down eight, after just kicking a field goal to get that close.
98 yards later, and after a 2 point conversion, it was headed to overtime, and then a second OT, before Prime’s team beat a scrappy, although DIRTY (8 personal foul penalties) CSU team, from up the road in Ft Collins.
Gotta admit, I’d pretty much given up, (and who the hell was calling the CU offensive play for the first 58 minutes?), but finally, at 12:25 in the morning, an exhausting game was over, and the Sanders family/Buff team had the W.
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — His mom gave the pregame speech. His defensive-back son started the scoring with an 80-yard pick-six. His quarterback son won it with a 98-yard drive for the ages and an overtime not soon forgotten.
Can’t imagine how banged up the bodies of the Buffs are today, cuz it seemed like every Ram player had about fifty pounds on their counterparts. Waaaay too many dirty plays from CSU, but I guess that was their way to make it ‘personal’.
I just hope CU’s two way playing Heisman candidate isn’t out for the year, after a late hit that sent Travis Hunter to the hospital and the Buffs lost their best defensive/one of their best offensive players, in one person, on one really dirty, blindside hit, long after the play was a over. I have no idea why Henry Blackburn wasn’t immediately ejected…

Specifically, the play that left Colorado’s Travis Hunter injured after an incredibly late hit on the sidelines from Henry Blackburn drew massive backlash from fans.
Speaking of dirty hits, I’m shocked that Shedeur, the CU QB was able to get off the turf after the helmet spear/late hit/drive to the ground hit job in OT.
After this one, the boys will never give up, thinking the game is over, cuz it ain’t, til the fat lady sings…
One of those games that everyone who was involved in, and most of the people who watched, will never forget. And, those who set their DVR’s, never saw the ending, at 12:25AM.
