As new evidence comes out about Trump’s Vengeance Tour against Colorado, judges are shocked….
New evidence suggests White House took steps to punish Colorado over Tina Peters case
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” a federal district court judge said about a newly disclosed email. “I’ve never even imagined something like it.”
Exactly one year ago this week, Donald Trump threatened to impose “harsh measures” on the state of Colorado unless it agreed to release election denier Tina Peters from prison several years before her sentence runs its course. The degree to which the president was serious is still coming into focus.
The [day after the “brainstorm call”] the Department of Transportation and the Department of Energy, whose representatives were invited to the brainstorm, announced they were canceling hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grants for Colorado projects, close and relocate hundreds of federal agencies and buildings, including Space Force and the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Tens of thousands lost their jobs.
This is a story in which the White House appears to have orchestrated a plot against a state because it was reluctant to free one of the president’s favorite criminals.
Impeachment efforts have been launched over less.
