Dotard totally screwed up international trade policies that took generations to create and were working just fine. SURPRISE! Most people/nations didn’t like it…even the nice Canadians, who the asshole decided to bully into submission.

 

‘Ball and chain’: Trump's tariffs still a drag on global trade cooperation

The U.S. tried to rally countries behind its trade priorities. They rebelled.

A European Union official, granted anonymity to speak candidly about the closed door discussions, agreed that Trump’s blanket tariffs on steel, aluminum and other manufacturing sectors “negatively impact” efforts to coordinate efforts to help the US against cheap Chinese exports.

Who da thunk the nations of the world don’t like a LYING, morally bankrupt, corrupt, incompetent, GREEDY wannabe dictator anymore than the LARGE MAJORITY of Americans?

Saw a good movie yesterday,

that really showed how fast time flies. Argo is about the hostage crisis in Iran, 33 years ago, and has a bit of history at the the beginning, that most of us have forgotten, as in WHY the Iranian people were SO pissed off at Americans. In 1953, the popularly elected president of Iran was replaced by the Shah of Iran, in a coup directed and financed by the CIA and the US, to protect America's Big Oil interests, much the same way Saddam Hussein was installed in Iraq. The shah, like Hussein, was a despot who tyrannized the people and looted the treasury. When he was overthrown, in a populist revolution, he fled to the US, but the Iranians wanted to put him on trial. Hence, the Iranian mobs took out their anger on the US embassy and it's workers. Argo, based on a true story, tells how Hollywood helped smuggle six Americans back home, with a fake movie. Good flick that explained a lot about why 'they hate us' over there, and brought back many memori...

Am really conflicted,

with the 'scandals' in Wahington. First of all Benghazi is not a scandal, no matter how hard the Pubs try to make it into one. BUT, the IRS and AP affairs have some merit, although the Tea Party (created and supported by the Koch bros) and FOX News are just arms of the Repub Party, whose sole intent is to take down Obama and the Dems, by any and all means. That is a given. SO, should the Dems just roll over when they are constantly under attack? No, BUT, they need to fight legally, and using the IRS and stifling a free press isn't right either. Not NEARLY as egregious as the last admin's behavior, but wrong, none the less. Personally, it just makes me more disgusted at the dirty game of politics that is all about the power and money involved, rather than doing what is best for the people.
