For a peek into the WTF world that’s shoveled to the sheep, just check out the FOX defense of Mike Flynn, who LIED to the FBI.

The lies were obvious and well documented, BUT, that doesn’t stop the rightwingnuts.
First they said he wasn’t WARNED that lying to the FBI was/is a crime.
Now they’re claiming he was ‘tricked’ into it, so it shouldn’t count.
You can’t make ‘tis stuff up, like they do with ‘facts’ on Bullshit Mountain.

The idea came directly from Flynn’s legal team. In a memo last week, Flynn’s lawyers said he was not explicitly told there would be penalties for lying.

Among those preaching the story are right-wingers like Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani and Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro, and even FOX spokesman Alan Dershowitz, who’ve taken part in a sort of myth-making, in a world where lies, ‘just don’t matter’, as long as they are Republican lies.

It should be noted that lying to the FBI is indeed a crime when the falsehood in question is material to an investigation, and prosecutors have determined that Flynn’s statements were.

Just chalk it up to the fact that ‘FOX will say, and the sheep will swallow, ANYTHING’, as long as it meets their narrative, Dems BAD—-Pubs GOOD.
