In a nutshell,

the entire Repub message is, 'The Dems haven't fixed our mess, instantly, after we screwed up for 8 years, so put us back in charge'. Unbelievable, but true..

As I see it, the GOPis gumming up the works because it's an election year. They want their boys and girls to win and win big so they can take over the House and Senate and RULE once again. So, if they make the Dems look BAD by holding up bills, throw out disparaging remarks,have these tea parties with Ms. Palin with her remarks concerning Obama etc., use PAC monies to rally round the flag well, the Conservatives will win. That's how you play the game in DC, around the country. No honesty in politics.

You should read this article, written by a Democrat, before you come to simple conclusions. If we don't understand the ACTUAL reasons, we can't prevent future problems.

In this article he states: "The more one learns about the political roots of our economic meltdown, the more the Democratic Party stands revealed as an equal partner with the Republicans at the center of corruption."

Steve, you know as well as I, they are all Hustlers, it's just that the Republicans have been at it longer and know how to play the game better than the Democrats, because they have more money and more influence for God's sake. Who the H built the banks and huge corporations..the Republicans! They still own this country and this govt. for God's sake! The Democrat has alway been the working man's party. Read between the effing lines.

Martin Van Buren, a total Jeffersonian an a Republican, began the practice of giving jobs to the election winner's friends which would then give him supporters. That was way back in 1819-22 and it's been that way since. Our forefathers and founders of this nation weren't so rock solid as we would like to boast and it continues to this day. Government, as a whole, is mired in corruption and is a victim of it's own corruption. It's only gotten worse through time. All great nations fall; ours will, as well. It is too top heavy.

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax.
