An AP poll,

that came out today, says 51% blame GWBush for our lousy economy, while 31% blame Obama. If you take out the FOXNews audience, and add another 12% who don't have a clue to anything, (they believe Congress is doing a 'good job'), I guess you could come up with the 31% that blame Obama, for the flaming wreckage that he inherited when Bush slithered out of town. Hard to imagine that many stupid people, but we've seen it before. 'DUH, if Fox says it, I believes it, has any o' y'all seen my deep frad twinkie?'

I especially liked this letter written to the Toledo Blade Reader's Forum, Aug. 25th by a resident of Sylvania Township which stated: We need a new political party that represents the majority of people who have common sense. Let's call it AIM (Americans In the Middle). No wild promises or ultimatums, just a broad and studious view of what is best for the majority of Americans.
Most of us work hard for our money. we don't want to give it up to tax increases, but we recognize that taxes and government are needed to create and maintain a civilized society. I wonder about the people who bash the new health-care law as a socialist policy, yet become angry when there is talk about limiting Medicare and Social Security, the two biggest socialist programs in our country.
Election finance reform that allows a level playing field and prevents monetary input from special-interest groups is needed.

One man's opinion, but a strong one. Getting rid of the two party system that is apparently too broken to fix, is a really good idea. Our Congress isn't working for the people, that's for certain. I wonder if they are aware we are in on the secret!

The main problem? The two parties in question hold ALL the power and aren't about to relinquish it. I'd say they're a joke, but that would imply it's funny.

the problem is us. We keep putting in the same old slime, believing the same old rhetoric that these folks will"make it all better" if we just vote them into office.
The only thing that will make it better is getting the lobbyists out of Washington and the Special Interest Groups from padding the pockets of our Congress. Maybe a sprinkle or two of honesty could help, but I dare say that went out the window with the Bill of Rights.
