Season 3 Is Coming!

(From today's Denver Post)Never mind reality. "Game of Thrones" season 3 is coming!
The battle for power, territory and, mostly, survival continues in the grand multi-dynasty epic that has won a special place in the popular culture. Moving forward, the story is increasingly personal while no less sweeping and phantasmagorical.
The theme music alone coaxes us into an altered state. Return to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros at 7 p.m. Sunday on HBO, and feel the blood, mud, glory and grit in TV's most visceral series.
Frankly, I enjoy the waking dream I fall into during the iconic, artful opening credits as much as following the narrative twists.
The tone is at once ancient and modern, mythical and otherworldly, edifying and lowbrow. Gallantry, villainy. Honor, deceit. Wisdom and eloquence; puns and zingers.
Have read the yet unfinished series, BUT, the TV version is amazing.

Great 'bargains' at the local Sprouts store

where we picked up asparagus and baby back ribs. Carol and I went for the same stuff (serarately, today), cuz it is so good, AND a great price. Had it for dinner tonight. WOW. One of my fav dinners, as the ribs start out in the crock pot, then finish on the grill, with fresh asparagus. (and bread pudding for dessert) I LOVE this time of year...

Just wait 'til Bonehead leads us all over the cliff, to save his 2% buddies having to pay a little higher tax. The Pubs keep thinking the American public is stupid, and they can get away with their phony political crap.
